In Autumn 2014 Black Bull Engineering and our sister company Blast ‘n’ Baked worked on the refurbishment of the 150-year-old Town Bridge in Bridgwater town centre.

We repaired corrosion to the steel from the water from the River Parrett. The constant motion of the tide had caused sections of the steel structure to corrode. We worked on specially designed scaffold around the tide times.

Historic features such as the damaged wrought iron flower heads were replicated by using a sand casting of an original and replaced. The structure finished-off with an authentic coat of paint.
